If you have acne-prone skin, you would be happy to hear that Japanese Dr. Hayashi and his colleagues conducted a study with 18 women with acne. He instructed the women to apply makeup daily for 4 weeks while they underwent acne treatment.
Their skin improved after following these instructions. It proved that makeup did not have an adverse effect on acne as long as the women continued to treat their acne. The women in the study did use makeup that was specially made for acne-prone skin.
Women with oily skin can enjoy long-lasting makeup as well. WebMD suggests applying a primer before your foundation. This will help to keep everything in place. After washing your face, use a light moisturizer or a serum help control oil.
How Can I Make My Foundation Last Longer?
Your T-Zone (forehead down the bridge of your nose) tend to be the oiliest spots on your face. Apply special attention here to keep from losing your foundation early in the day. Add loose powder here and to your chin to reduce shine. Make sure you don’t go overboard so your face will remain natural.
